Your practitioner at the Genk centre
Seppe Peeters
Laser auricular reflexology practitioner
Seppe Peeters has not always worked in auricular reflexology: he first spent several years in the field as a pharmaceutical sales representative, talking every day with healthcare professionals. That period gave him real knowledge of the sector, but above all a love of human contact, listening and trust, qualities he now puts at the service of those he supports towards greater balance and well-being.

Seppe Peeters welcomes you at Medpoint Genk. A practitioner in the Reset Laser network for three years, he supports people from Genk, Hasselt and the wider Limburg area who want to stop tobacco, cannabis, alcohol or sugar. Sessions, individual or for two, are by appointment. He leads the initial conversation, carries out the session and provides the twelve months of support: you keep the same point of contact from the first call to the last follow-up.
Our practitioners are not doctors or healthcare professionals in the legal sense and do not perform any medical procedures.

Why quitting smoking on your own is so hard
In a smoker, two dependencies overlap. First the physical one: nicotine is missing, and for a few days this shows up as nervousness, irritability and less settled sleep. Then the behavioural one: the lunch break, the car journey, drinks on a terrace with friends. Each of these moments ends up calling for a cigarette by itself.
Many people we see at the Genk centre have already tried, with patches, gum or willpower alone. Starting again is not a character flaw: quitting rarely sticks at the first attempt. Laser auricular reflexology works on the physical side. The rest is then worked on, with the follow-up support.
Laser auricular reflexology in Genk: how a session works
A session, step by step
- The initial conversation
The session lasts about an hour. It begins with an initial conversation: how much you consume, your past attempts, the moments when cravings come back strongest. - Applying the laser
Next comes the laser application. A soft, low-intensity laser stimulates reflex points on the ear and a few points on the nose. No needles, no breaking of the skin, no medication: the method is non-invasive and painless, and most people describe nothing more than a slight warmth. The session ends with advice for the first few days.
What the method aims to do, and what it does not
The method is based on laser stimulation of specific points. It aims to ease the physical signs of craving felt after quitting and to reduce the symptoms often associated with withdrawal, such as stress, irritability, anxiety or sleep problems. The goal is to support you through this transition and make it less uncomfortable.
It does not replace your decision to stop, and it does not act on the habits built up over the years: that is what the follow-up support is for.
Laser technology has more than thirty years of hindsight behind it; Reset Laser has been supporting people since 2020, in six countries. More about the method.
Who the method is not suitable for
The session cannot be offered to anyone in one of the following situations:
- pregnant women, at any stage of pregnancy
- people with a pacemaker or an active implanted electronic device
- people undergoing heavy medical treatment (active chemotherapy or radiotherapy)
- people who are photosensitive or taking photosensitising medication
- minors without parental consent
If in doubt, talk to your GP before booking.
What the Genk centre offers you after the session
12
12 months of personalised support
The session is not a full stop. For twelve months, you stay in direct contact with the Genk centre: if a craving is stronger than expected or a situation catches you off guard, you call and the practitioner who saw you adjusts their advice. That is what sets this approach apart from quitting on your own.

A free session if you relapse
If you start smoking again within twelve months, you will be offered a new session at no extra cost, at the Genk centre or at any other centre in the network, in Belgium or abroad.
This commitment relates to the means provided and is not a promise of results, as success also depends on each client’s personal willpower.
Addictions supported at the Genk centre
Tobacco
The session stimulates the reflex points linked to nicotine craving as well as points linked to stress and anxiety, to help ease the sensations felt when you stop. The follow-up support then focuses on the everyday situations that trigger the urge. Discover the method.
Alcohol
The same principle: a session that works on the craving points, followed by twelve months of support. It is a subject that often carries judgement, which you will not find at the centre. Find out more.
Cannabis
The principle is close to that for tobacco, working on the points linked to craving, stress and anxiety. The support often goes further, as people also ask about sleep, motivation and concentration. Find out more.
Sugar
Both an addictive substance and an ingrained habit, refined sugar is worked on through the same points: those linked to craving, to reduce the urge to consume, and those linked to stress. Weight and energy concerns are often part of the picture. Find out more.
